I've noticed a lot of questions about translating mxliff files in Trados Studio here and on other forums.

I decided to try to tackle the problem myself by creating a file type for processing mxliff files in Trados.

Any feedback would be appreciated so I can make it more complete.
Once I finish testing, I will apply for the SDL AppStore.

Thanks a lot for the plugin Oct 18, 2016

I'm currently working with a client that uses Memsource and I'll give it a try. Let me know if you want me to try something.

PS: I tried a few files and they seem to be working fine, the client has been able to upload them as well. Good work!

Marks all segments as draft Oct 24, 2016

I ran into a small issue today.
I loaded a file that had some hits in my TM, and all segments (even empty ones) were marked as "Draft" instead of "Not Translated".
So far everything else seems to work

Install for Studio 2017 Nov 18, 2016

The file type needs to be installed for Studio 2017, then it will work.

Hello Nora, Nov 19, 2016

Yes, what I meant is - the filetype does not install in 2017..

It does work! Nov 19, 2016

It is just not added automatically - there is a yellow warning sign in File Types with a link, so you have to enable it manually. I think that was necessary also in 2015, I forgot about it.

Works on 2007 :) - Also sometimes it doesn't detect all strins Dec 22, 2016

I've found a few instances where it doesn't detect all strings, if you want I'll be happy to send you the files in question.

Best,
Toni

Mail send from kimbal@hot.... Dec 22, 2016

Mail send from kimbal@hot....

I've added 3 files where that have given me problems (although I think it's the same issue for all of them) as well as the original .docx files
