» How to find direct clients? Skip the middle-man!
By _andy_ | Published 09/8/2005 | Marketing Your Language Services | Recommendation:RateSecARateSecIRateSecIRateSecIRateSecI
Any professional freelance translator is probably familiar with the process of how translation agencies operate. They have a client, but they do not have the means to do the work themselves, and that is why they need you. So wouldnt it be ideal for all freelance translators to simply skip the middle-man and just do the work directly for the client who requires the service? The answer to this question is obviously yes, but this is also much easier said than achieved in reality. How does one solicit companies as a freelance translator?

After receiving some pleasant feedback on my article entitled How to find direct clients? Skip the middle-man! published 09/8/2005, I have been encouraged to write a follow up with more information on how to grab those direct clients. I want to talk a little more about specifics this time, and a few suggestions that might help, along with some ideas that are a little outside the box, but creative none the less, and it could bring you more business in the end so it might even be worth a try.
