Hi everyone!
Do you know how to have words counted (without tags) in a translation (target file) done with TradosTAG?
TradosTAG produces a .ttx file and .rtf one.
What can I do?
Thanks a lot,
Ma. José

Do a TRADOS anylysis

Open a Translation Memory wit Trados WorkBench (it does not matter which one), then go to Extras Analysis and analyse your file. As you don\'t need the matches count, look only of the word count total - it is so easy as this.

Run a cleanup
May 10, 2002
Hi Maria!
If it\'s a bilingual .ttx file, all you need to do is to run a cleanup of the file (Trados will generally maintain the .ttx file, and produce a \"clean\" monolingual file in the file format the .ttx file was created from - just to be sure, take a copy of the .ttx file before running the cleanup). The log file will contain the word count of the cleaned up segments, as well as a total.
If the .ttx file has not yet been translated, run an analysis.
