Hello, I am a ZH>EN translator and I currently use MDBG Chinese reader as my main dictionary. It is very useful but doesn't always function as it should. Could anyone recommend any dictionary with similar features? Thanks. Suzanne

Doubtlessly YOUDAO on top of all, and then you may also try on https://cn.linguee.com/ . They mainly have references with UN services, multinational corps & NGOs & governments. But be aware that their sources could be a mixture of ZHch, ZHtw & ZHhk.

And if everyone's satisfied with MT, then there will be no longer human translation.

http://dict.youdao.com/ I recommend youdao dictionary. Youdao dictionary not only can translate between Chinese and English, but also supports translation into other languages. At the same time, youdao dictionary can also translate articles, as well as automatic translation of excerpts.
I've been using youdao for most of time, works fine for me. They also provide muilt-reference from other dictionaries, that is really helpful.

youdao & iciba | Jun 20, 2021 |
Highly recommend Youdao. It could translate into many languages and the translation is mainly accurate. But if it is a long paragraph, the translation needs to be modified a little bit. Iciba is also recommended.

Youdao is fine and all, but I've come across some issues with it in the past. I swear by the Pleco dictionary app on iOS and Android. It's not a dictionary per se but an app that includes many different dictionaries. The free dictionaries themselves are good references and will cover 90% of what you come across but some of the specialised paid dictionaries are terrific. I've used it as for about 10 years now, and I can't fault it.
