Explanation:
It's difficult to know here, for we don't know the dimensions or anything about the two "ornamients/adornments" of the floor above. Hope this helps.

If they're small, I'd use "ornaments", but if they're larger, i.e. for decorating the walls or suchlike, I'd use "adornments".

agree  Evans (X): If they are referring to plaster mouldings, this is the right term. / you're right, roundels can be mouldings carved in stone too!
