Hello again,

From a climate change study conducted by a Basque organisation I'm translating into US English. I’d love to hear how you’d handle this, so please feel free :)

Here’s the term in context:

agree Karen Chalmers: I think 'linked' is best - it has broader scope and better incorporates the sociological implications, 'connected' is more ambiguous and could be interpreted as plumbing.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Hi Muriel, I'll be selecting your answer shortly, but just thought I'd ask what you think of "companies that are more directly involved" before I do that. It seems clumsy to me, and I don't really get it. Do you think it might be something like "heavily involved" maybe?

Asker: Or do you think it means: "companies that are moST directly involved"?
