what was on offer Explanation: Maybe easier to fit into your sentence. Things were no longer so concentrated in urban centres, and with this spreading out into the suburbs, new buildings had to be slung up to include this vague category (blocks with banks/shops/insurance companies/public offices etc on their ground floors) to provide space for all this. |
