This is from the end of a study entitled "Impacto del Tamaño del Tubo de la muestra sanguínea para analíticas en la anemia del paciente Critico"

Context:

"Discusión:
La extracción de sangre para determinaciones analíticas es imprescindible en la practica clínica, la cantidad de sangre extraída no suele ser importante en el paciente ambulatorio, pero si que lo puede ser en el paciente Critico.

La anemia en el paciente crítico es multifactorial, y en este estudio no se habla de ella ni se hace constancia de los niveles de hemoglobina, ni de las necesidades transfusionales de los pacientes.

Se trata de constatar en nuestro medio cual es el impacto de las extracciones sanguíneas para analítica y como la reducción del tamaño de la muestra ha supuesto un ahorro en la cantidad de sangre extraída de manera significativa y ha reducido la cantidad de sangre transfundida en una cantidad superior a la utilización de la Eritropoyetina (13) con un costo significativamente menor."
