Etc...

I think this is some kind of official acknowledgment that she was there and doing that, but how would you translate it (if I'm right - I'll accept being corrected if I'm not!)

Why the indirect article "le", and who "has" the person. In what way are they "had"?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Explanation:
MEDIANTE LA CUAL SE LE TIENE a la licenciada YYYYY exhibiendo sobre cerrado = by which YYYYY, Atty. is held to be presenting a sealed envelope

Her action in doing so is accepted by the court.

agree  Ray Ables: I think so... I think "deemed" would work too. I saw you've entered a similar one before: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/law_general/367... Cheers!

-> Gracias, Ray. That would work also. Yes, I've entered others, that's how I normally render it.

Explanation:
Legalese again - just asking the court to accept someone in their capacity as lawyer etc., or to consider something as filed/presented correctly.

So here it would be the passive "is recognised" etc.

Agree with Henry re "Pro", but I can't agree with his take; the verb will vary depending on the subject of the sentence, whether person or document etc.
