In dieser Tiefe steht der Mensch vor sich selbst als einer „Unfasslichkeit“: Wer ist dieses „Ich“? Wo kann dieses „Ich“ festgemacht werden? Dem Grund seines „Ichs“ nähert sich der Mensch an, wenn er das aufgreift, was sich in ihm zu Wort meldet, gefühlsmäßig anmeldet. „Es“ spricht zu ihm - und es sagt etwas zu „ihm selbst“. Dieses innere „Laut-Werden“ ist begleitet von einem Gefühl des Gemeint-Seins. Wenn das „Ich“ dieses „Es“, also das, was in der Person zu „sprechen“ beginnt, aufnimmt, ist der Mensch authentisch. Personsein heißt deshalb im Grunde: sich in Empfang nehmen als ein sich Anvertrauter, sich gegenübertreten.
