El Programa Nacional de Criminalística tiene como objetivo la organización de la práctica criminalística para su optimización en el esclarecimiento del hecho delictivo, a través de distintas actividades que se desarrollan en los ámbitos del Poder Judicial, Fiscales, Defensores y Fuerza Policial.

Colabora y hace aportes en el proceso penal, para la determinación de la existencia del hecho delictivo y la identificación de los autores, de manera que se logre una mayor eficacia y eficiencia en la investigación criminal.

Estos objetivos se materializan sentando las bases, fundamentos y principios para el desarrollo criminalístico de todas las jurisdicciones, utilizando y fomentando la aplicación de las más modernas tecnologías y metodologías.

Toda la información recibida de los gabinetes y laboratorios criminalísticos del país, permiten al Programa Nacional de Criminalística articular y compartir estos datos, para que sean conocidos por los destinatarios involucrados en el proceso investigativo. En este sentido, el Programa Nacional de Criminalística propicia y facilita la cooperación y el intercambio de la información de todos los gabinetes criminalísticos entre si.

Desde el Programa Nacional de Criminalística se impulsa la participación de los poderes Ejecutivo, Legislativo, Judicial, Ministerio Público y *****Defensorías******** para el diseño y toma de decisiones referidas a la investigación científica del delito.

in Reply to asker´s comment: see e.g Defensoria de Peru, de Columbia. If this Institution should indeed correspond to something else, the author should have Chosen a better word for it.
