Case Management—This feature lets a company document things that are a surprise, or things that need to be tracked outside of the work order process. There are many situations when someone doesn’t need to “work order-ize” an event, but just needs to make a record of the event. In the past, users would attach notes or steps to work orders, a process which would sometimes end up skewing the work order reporting. Case management is a separate facility that allows the tracking of tasks on a case.
