Spanish term or phrase: la alimentación, salud y el disfrute
Hi everyone,

Not sure about how to translate "la alimentación, salud y el disfrute"

En el programa se abordaron algunas de las cuestiones que más preocupan a esta industria, como los desafíos a los que se enfrenta la industria cárnica; la internacionalización de las empresas, el papel de la carne en la alimentación, salud y el disfrute, la industria 4.0, o los sistemas y la tecnología como ventaja competitiva en la industria Cárnica, entre otras.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Explanation:
Another way of putting it. I don't want to seem pernickety (or persnickety), and perhaps it's just me, but I find the literal online rendering of this phrase a bit unnatural (mind you, I don't think it's very well expressed in Spanish either).

"The role of meat in diet" is just about OK, though to me "in diet" creaks a little. "In health" is fine in itself. But "the role of meat in enjoyment"? To me this sounds very odd and I can't imagine spontaneously saying or writing it.

I feel that adding "as a source of" helps, and I think "pleasure" is a more natural word to use here than "enjoyment". I think that the phrase flows like this and is suitable in a text which, after all, is promoting the virtues of meat, implicitly against its many detractors. It has a plainness and simplicity that, to me, give it greater impact.

agree  Helena Chavarria: It depends how you interpret the original. I read 'internacionalización', 'role of meat', health and enjoyment, industry 4.0, systems and technology as separate items. Your interpretation is fine if you include 'salud y disfrute with 'papel de la carne'.

-> Thanks, Helena! I hadn't thought of that. I find it hard, though, to read "salud y el disfrute" as a separate item, partly because of the lack of article before "salud". And "health and enjoyment" is isolation, not explicitly related to meat, seems odd.

agree  Taña Dalglish: I agree with you. "Food" and "pleasure" were the words that initially jumped out at me, but then when I went searching, I found the link I posted. I wonder if the Asker was asked to retranslate, as parts are dodgy?
