but also their patients Explanation: My understanding - based on the previous paragraph ("los pacientes se vuelven más y más complejos", "es muy difícil que el médico solucione todo") - is that patients are contributing to doctor fatigue, and as a result, they are also partially responsible for doctors' health. Something like "responsibility for doctors' health lies not just with doctors themselves, but also their patients", perhaps. I assume the bit that follows "Además, habrá otro especialista..." is to be interpreted as a reminder that sometimes there are other health professionals better equipped to treat patients (which would relieve some of the burden/fatigue the text is describing). I would agree though that the source text, in general, could be phrased more clearly. (For example, "por otro lado" would seem a more logical option than "además", but perhaps I'm splitting hairs). My two cents, but let's see what others have to say. |
