Spanish term or phrase: escolarización educativa
SPAIN. Don't get me wrong, I know exactly what it means. The issue I have with this term is that the "educativa" part appears to be redundant (if we accept that all schooling is educational), so I'm not sure whether I should leave it out or not.

school enrolment / integration into the education system
Explanation:
I'd be happy to be proved wrong, if someone can show that this is not a tautology, but I think it is. I've googled this expression and in all the cases I've looked at "escolarización educativa" seems to mean the same as just "escolarización".

I think you could use either of my suggestions.

"In Denmark, school enrolment of immigrants and descendants of immigrants has been increasing in the compulsory school system"

I understood "escolarización" as the process of getting them into a school, which is what it means in theory ("proporcionar escuela a la población infantil", DLE), rather than to teaching, which is why I avoided "schooling" ("education received at school", Oxfod)).

schooling process

Explanation:
Integration into the education system resulta probablemente adecuado.

teaching-learning process

Explanation:
Since the source text mentions procesos, this might be an option, as its basically synonomous with education, and widely-used in the field.

agree  Sara Fairen: "Integration into the education system" refleja la preocupación del texto original: no solo que vayan a la escuela, sino que se integren (y aprendan). Quizás no sea tan redundante como parecía a simple vista...

Reference: escolarización - educación

Reference information:
