social and inclusive economy Explanation: Plenty of translations with "solidarity" out there, but that word often doesn't sit easily for me and I think this is better. First, what is it? Here are the principles as set out in the relevant law: "- La búsqueda del buen vivir y del bien común; - La prelación del trabajo sobre el capital y de los intereses colectivos sobre los individuales; - El comercio justo y consumo ético y responsable; - La equidad de género; - El respeto a la identidad cultural; - La autogestión; - La responsabilidad social y ambiental, la solidaridad y rendición de cuentas; y, - La distribución equitativa y solidaria de excedentes." The word "inclusive" is relevant to several of these (gender, cultural identity, worker involvement) and is used by a couple of big hitters. First, the EU: "Lastly, the National Institute of the Popular and Inclusive Economy (Instituto Nacional de Economía Popular y Solidaria (IEPS) has been created under the MIES to articulate a new economic vision for inclusive growth with autonomy in developing a strategic objective." https://ec.europa.eu/europeaid/sites/devco/files/erd5-countr... Your job as translator is to give the reader a clear idea of what organisations are being referred to, and I don't think any of the three previous suggestions does this. Here 'solidaria' is redolent of social ownership and socialist or even communist by another name.
