Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general)
Spanish term or phrase: adecuado
OK, so here we have a classic false friend, and it's throwing me for a loop as I am proofreading another translator's work; this is from a medical imaging company in Tijuana, so English influence in the Spanish source text may exist.

CT TOMOGRAFÍA DE ABDOMEN COMPLETO CONTRASTADO
[...]
Partes blandas sin evidencia de lesiones aparentes al método, de adecuado volumen y densidad.

Los primeros cortes a nivel de las bases pulmonares muestran adecuado patrón, con adecuado volumen...

The translator I am proofreading used "adequate" in their translation.

Sooooo, is appropriate, satisfactory, suitable, et al. the correct translation for this, or is "adequate" correct because the source SHOULD have been "suficiente?" Stedman bilingüe Diccionario de ciencias médicas does not have an entry on adecuado or adequate. Also, see medical false cognates at: https://journals.openedition.org/asp/1607?lang=en

Thank you for your help!!

appropriate (unremarkable)
Explanation:
I'd go with appropriate, or even "unremarkable" as that is the gist of it.

adequate

Explanation:
I found the word "adequate" especially related to dental implants and bone volume.
adequate: sufficient in quantity, quality, or amount to achieve a desired therapeutic effect.

Adequate volume of available alveolar bone in both
height and width
Adequate density of available alveolar bone

oral implants immediately after their placement in mandibles of adequate density and volume
