بروتين احادي الخلية Explanation: عبارة عن بروتين يتم انتاجة عن طريق كائنات حية ميكروبية تتغذى على بقايا النباتات والطحالب و الاخشاب و الخ. يستخدم هذا البروتين لانتاج الغذاء البشري و الاعلاف الحيوانية. هنالك الكثير من البحوث التي اجريت عليه. و مؤخرا تمكن العلماء من انتاجه من خلال التفاعلات بين الهواء و الكهرباء.
