English translation:It's a heart-warming news/ This news warmed my heart
Explanation:

  -> Thanks, Brittany.

agree  Fuad Yahya: I like "warmed my heart," but it is not necessary to use a temperature-themed expression in this case. Alternatives abound./I have always advocated vigorously to be as close as possible to the source text, unless there is a compelling reason not to.

  -> Thanks, Fuad. You're correct, there's a lot of alternatives, but as a translator, I do believe we should stick with the idiomatic equivalent if it exists.

agree  Ludina Sallam: That's heart warming news. Maybe also "That news cheers my heart."

neutral  Tim Friese: Yes this is the best literal translation but without 'a'. News is not a count noun in English. However it would be better to rephrase for any appropriate alternative: 'incredible news' is probably the most idiomatic, etc.

What incredible news!

Explanation:
I think it's best not to use a literal translation here. 'heart-warming' is used more in the context of good news amidst difficult times, disasters, or tragedies, for example if you heard that volunteers are distributing meals during Coronavirus quarantines. I think 'great news' or 'incredible news' are more idiomatic in English and do not have any connotation of disaster relief/humanitarian stories, which are not appropriate to the context of an academic achievement.
