Navedeni opis sluznice govori o tome da je ona zapravo slabo nalivena krvlju. Lekari u Srbiji za preteranu nalivenost organa ili tkiva krvlju kažu HIPEREMIJA, a suprotno stanje je HIPOEMIJA, dok anemija ima drugo značenje. U engleskom se, doduše, HYPOAEMIC i ANAEMIC koriste ravnopravno.
