capped/capped off Explanation: A pipe is said to be "capped" or "capped off" if it has a cap attached to one end. Calling that a plug would, IMHO, be wrong. I'm drawing on my early experience as a plumber's helper here, gained while working for my father, who was a journeyman plumber, and then for a plumbing company during one hot summer in Florida to help pay college expenses. Do a Google search for "capped pipe." |
