Така най-често съм го срещала, пък и го имам нагледно на документи на чуждестранна фирма.
Но явно го има и като company register number, видно от линка който давам.

  -> може и да имаш право, но в такъв случай нали именно съдът регистрира фирмата под някакъв номер и този номер ти го изискват после в службите.не ми е познат друг документ за регистрация на фирма.

Предпочитам този превод, защото става дума за дело като съдебен процес, по което се взима решение "В името на народа". File е по-скоро папка, досие, партида, "дело", но в по-непосредствен физически смисъл. Подобно разграничение се прави и в Българско-английски юридически речник за превода на думата "дело".

По въпроса за регистрационния номер: тази роля се изпълнява от БУЛСТАТ и номера от Наредбата за данъчна регистрация. Не ми е известен съдебен регистрационен номер, различен от номера на фирменото дело.

\"Дело\" в първото значение по-горе е юридически термин, а във второто - канцеларски. Така е посочено и в Българско-английския речник на \"Наука и изкуство\", който - за Ваша информация - има само 41 572 заглавни думи, без да се броят омонимите и добавката. Имам го в електронен вид, затова знам точната цифра. Броячът на Word в случая не лъже, за разлика от издателите, които посочват неверни цифри за броя на думите в речниците или въобще не посочват такива, както е в случая с цитирания по-горе речник. Забравих да добавя, че съм работил известно време в Министерството на правосъдието като преводач с английски и немски език (НЕ езици).

В линка за docket http://www.proz.com/kudoz/bulgarian_to_english/law_general/7... в обяснението се използва думата case: 1) n. the cases on a court calendar. 2) n. brief notes, usually written by the court clerk, stating what action was taken that day in court. 3) v. to write down the name of a case to be put on calendar or make notes on action in court.
