Catalan term or phrase: vi brandit
Supposed to mean something like 'stormy wine' and is referred to as a possible basis of the word 'brandy', but I want to check.

"Brandied" in English usually refers to foodstuffs that have had brandy added, or else some kind of punch mixed with brandy. It seems odd to do so with wine, but I suppose it's possible. More context needed. What exactly are they doing with the wine and the brandy? If they are simply raising the alcohol and sugar content, perhaps they simply mean fortified wine, but I believe that would be "vi generós". Hope this helps.
