Hi! 08:22 Apr 10, 2009
Sorry I didn't make it very clear, did I? 'Colp' is basically a term used to describe a group of trees covering an area < 700 m2. As opposed to 700-2,800 m2 in the case of a 'bosquet' and under 5,000 m2 in the case of a 'clap'. So yes, it's the names of he different sizes of woods, as you say. Colp is the smallest, then comes bosquet and finally clap. I am just trying to determine what the technical terms are in English for these grouping. Have you any idea about what 'colps' could be translated as? Many thanks in advance! |
