Catalan term or phrase: kit
I've never heard this expression, seems to be slang. It's the owner of a company explaining how and why his clothing company is doing well in the midst of the crisis.

Original:
El kit no és fer més vestits, sinó que la gent que confia en nosaltres quedi satisfeta.

Rough draft:
The trick is not to make more dresses; it is to ensure that the people who have placed their trust in us are happy.

Explanation:
I think Montse is right about it being 'quid', but I would paraphrase it, to make it sound more natural.
