as (artists/performers...) Explanation: Hi Berni, I think I'd just say something like 'as' (i.e. your first suggestion) in this case. I am suffering from insomnia too, so I sympathise :-) Good luck, Sheila -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2006-09-20 11:10:17 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Hi again, Berni - it's hard to say without having more context or reading the rest of the text. For example, it would depend on what kind of programme it is, what the guests are supposed to do (do they get actively involved in the programme?). Maybe they are simply guests on the programme who can contribute if asked to - but again, it would depend on the context/the type of programme etc. Sorry not to be of more help! Sheila |

as Explanation: "en tant que" usually means "as + a quality" As a teacher, he knows the language. En tant que professor, coneix la llengua. This is the most used meaning for 'en tant que' and not 'as much as' -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 horas (2006-09-20 11:41:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- BTW, not sure if this usage in Catalan is 100% correct. To me it seems a bit of a 'calco' from Spanish. In "original" Catalan it should be: en qualitat de, com a. |
