我觉得不一定要字对字翻出来

Explanation:
“他善于解决系统故障和硬件设备的实体故障。”
这句话中前面是系统故障,属于软件;硬件故障,属于硬件。
涉及硬件的肯定都是实体故障,我个人觉得这个原文就有点问题。一般都说“硬件故障”
您可以说 hardware failure, 这个是用的比较多的。

components problems or component problems

Explanation:
实体 - In my humble opinion 实体 is actually meant to be plural, i.e. 实体们 which mean various pieces, i.e. components of hardware. In Chinese, it is not customary to say 实体们. That is where the difficulty in translation arises.

Regarding "components problems" or "component problems" I'd just say "components problems". Some texts say that one has to apply the singular form of a noun if the noun functions as an adjective. So for purests "component problems".

Physical problems are usually "fixed" by replacing the problematic module of the hardware, because they are usually not fixable by even a certified technician. Rather, they are simply sent back to the manufacturer.

hardware fault

Explanation:
fault is reffer to the problem happened in computer or web .
according to the sentence, it actually means the fault of system and hardware.so in my point of view , no need to translate word by word.

Reference information:
There are two types of hard drive failures, physical failures and non-physical failures. A physical failure means the hard drive itself has failed either due to a mechanical hard drive failure or an electronic hard drive failure.

a) Physical damage to your hard drive caused due to mechanical failure or
b) Non-physical failure such as an inaccessible hard drive issue caused due to a Damaged Master Boot Record (MBR) or corruption of any operating system (OS) files.
