Art/Literary - Philosophy / mentioned in an interview
Chinese term or phrase: 道德经
I know that common translations would be Tao Te Ching or Daodejing; I just wondered if one is currently favored over the other. This is a Chinese-English translation, however I'm not sure of the background of my client. The context is an interview in Caijing (economic) magazine. The interviewee is an Italian who is a business tycoon but also studies Daoism and Tibetan Buddhism.

Context:

近日,他在接受《财经时报》专访时指出,30多年前,他在欧洲逛书店时,就看到了《道德经》。
Today, while accepting the interview from Caijing, he mentions that 30 years ago while browsing a bookstore in Europe, he saw Daodejing.

neutral  Michael Perkins: Both would be acceptable, but I think there is a gradual trend toward pinyin, particularly in non-academic circles. Pinyin is much easier to pronounce correctly for non-Chinese speakers. Wade-Giles is not obvious at all.
