Explanation:
到底是“云深处”还是“云生处”，这桩公案除非是杜牧复生，否则是无法了结的了。而且很有可能杜牧本人就是这一字之差的始作俑者——诗的初稿和定稿不同，遂令后世为之纠缠。但无论如何，都不应当是“云升处”。“白云生处有人家”，体现的确是一种深幽宁静之景，但如果直接道出深幽二字，岂不大煞风景，败坏了古诗的意境。因此，我认为"rise" "sequestered"两词应当慎用。
