Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Explanation:
I believe I found the same document at http://www.monalisa-prod.com/presse/from kiss to baby.pdf

On pages 46 (6 of 18) and 47 (7 of 18), the photo shows that the doctor was using an MRI machine. On page 47 (7 of 18), it is clearly indicated that “位于英国约克郡谢菲尔德(Shefield)大学的生育繁殖专家正借助一台核磁共振成像仪器(MRI)来研究性行为每一阶段中男性与女性身体里发生的变化”.

BTW, the document you are translating is not as boring as what I am translating. :)

Quite possibly, your Chinese original was originally translated from either English or French.

Have fun, but concentrate on your translation! :-)

Thanks. Well, this Chinese article has been submitted to the EU for a respectable science competition. If it was translated from English or French..... hmm....

Asker: When this client came to me, I was working on two other projects. I know it will kill me if I take on hers, but I just could not resist! Haha. I am having a lot of fun translating it right now.... ;)

  -> Thanks!

agree  Naikei Wong: From the source, it is indeed MRI. But even so, psychologists use mostly fMRI (functional MRI) instead of MRI (by default, structural MRI) for study of neural activities... MRI is for anatomical study. The translation of 磁馈 is totally ridiculous...:(
