strike Explanation: to mi říká slovník, na webu se uvádí 1 strike (U.S.) equals 70,4781403 litre, což je jiná hodnota, než uvádíte, ale třeba existuje ještě strike (UK)? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 36 mins (2012-06-21 15:01:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- tak existuje ještě strike (Imperial), ten je o něco víc 1 strike (Imperial) = 72,73744 litres, ale pořád to je asi málo... |

Strich Explanation: This is an "altboehmische Getreidemasse" - dry weight. I have found references to it in German, French and English as Strich. If you can make it through the French on the google books ref, you'll see that "Strike" and "Strich" are indeed different amounts -- and importantly, they are used in different territories. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2012-06-21 20:50:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "Strich. In Bohemia and Prague, a unit of dry capacity used for cereals, about 93.5829 liters, stricken measure. In heaped measure, 107.6 liters. It was sometimes called a Scheffel." - sizes.com More measures here: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~gbhs/resources/czech/conve... 2.5 bushels = 88.09 litres Explanation: ak je to z nemciny potom strich = korec, korec pole = 0.7 acre or three rods or 2.5 bushels (bucket) Volny - 5 strich feld = 5 korcu pole >> if 1 U.S. bushel = 8 corn/dry gallons=2150.42 cu in = 35.239 litre so 2.5 bushels = 88.09 liters, close to your 96.3 liters http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Bushel |

Bohemian strich (2.73 bushels) Explanation: Veľmi zaujímavá otázka a veľmi zaujímavá diskusia. Treba však rozlíšiť medzi nemeckým Strich (cca 26,6 l) a českým štrychom (96,3 l) a medzi objemovou mierou Strich a plošnou mierou Strich.
