As we all often do, Dylan is walking a fine line between translating and editing, between passing on the intended meaning and/or the "tone" of the source. Only he can decide here, but as for the meaning, either supersede or override is the best. Seldom does a serious professional article use "push out" even though it is a literal translation.

The sentence is "improper" from the beginning to the end from my Czech point of view. The selection of the verb "vytlačit" is also improper and very colloquial. It should be written in at least two sentences:
Byly provedeny meta-analýzy, které vycházely z hodnot eGF. (Podle převažujících názorů) Hodnoty eGF (vytlačily) nahradily vyhodnocování funkce ledvin (jen) dle sérového kreatininu.
The problem is the connection of "vytlačily" and "jen". Here, the part "podle převažujících názorů" should be also left out
