(prize) draw Explanation: * -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2009-03-10 16:18:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- As Pavel points out, this question has already been answered in the reverse (EN>CS). "slosování o (ceny)" as an event, not an activity, is a prize draw. How we resolve the rest of the sentence is a different issue. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 hrs (2009-03-10 19:11:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- exactly, Petrusek. The full solution will depend on what sort of text it is. Lighthearted marketing (with a little licence): "(enter) the prize draw for your chance to win...", something more sedate: "prize draw offering great value promotions [or whatever], such as discount codes", or something very formal, bordering on Czenglish. We would need more context, though. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 hrs (2009-03-10 19:27:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- (sorry, Petusek) |
