switch to DHCP on the camera Explanation: So, this is Computerspeak. When the camera is connected to the network by cable (or wireless), it needs to have an IP-address in order to be accessible. This address is either input by the user (Fixed IP) or supplied by the router (DHCP = Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).
