In the UK, gen. or ord. partnerships are governed by ancient Partnership Act legislation , different BrE: to AmE: than Limited Partnership Act partnerships that, in their turn, are different to or than LLPs - a hybrid of limited partnerships and limited companies > US: corporations. BTW, & Co. is a traditional misnomer for a partnership - I used to work for one - as it is strictly not a company unles incorporated as an & Co. Ltd. Example sentence(s):
