Danish term or phrase: Børnesygdomme
Der var, som der ofte er, ”børnesygdomme” og tekniske komplikationer, men i dag er X en moderne fabrik, der producerer på fuld tryk.

This is from an article about a project to bring a factory back to full production after a major failure. "Børnesygdomme" is in quotation marks in the original, so I think this is some kind of jargon or expression, but unfortunately I'm not able to grasp it. Any ideas as to what this might be referring to?

På forhånd tak.

teething troubles, minor hitches
Explanation:
This is simply an expression for the small, unforeseen glitches and minor adjustments that need to be made in a new system.

Teething troubles, ironing out the creases, debugging - there are lots of expressions for this process.

teething troubles

Explanation:
Børnesygdomme literally means 'childhood diseases'. In technical terms, it refers to initial problems that are to be expected, but which can be overcome without too much trouble.
