According to the journal Land Economics, 'Land Economics is dedicated to the study of land use, natural resources, public utilities, housing, and urban land issues.'

The University of Cambridge offers Land Economy as a specialist undergraduate degree: 'Law, economics, and their relationship to the built and natural environments are central to Land Economy, along with other areas such as business regulation, the financial aspects of real estate and international development.'
