Dutch term or phrase: service-onderwijs
Hi guys, long time no see. I'm hoping some of you may have some input on this term, which I've just come across for the first time in a table showing the staff/student ratio at a Dutch university. It then says in brackets, "excl. service-onderwijs"

This document http://www.win.tue.nl/reglementen/CvB95-815.pdf gives the following definition for service-onderwijs:
"Van service-onderwijs is sprake als een deel van de opleiding "a" die is ingesteld in faculteit "B" (service-ontvanger) wordt verzorgd door faculteit "C" (service-verlener)."

What is a good English-language equivalent for this? Is this as simple as "guest lecturers", or is there more to it? (I guess that doesn't make clear that it's another faculty within the university that is sending them though...)

I don't know if a more convincing term exists, but I found this on a Dutch website translated into English: https://www.artez.nl/en/study-programmes/education-in-arts/p...

I googled the term and found multiple hits related to the description in the document you provided.

Ended up going with this option as it seemed the most logical and self-explanatory to me. Thanks!

agree  Barend van Zadelhoff: makes sense; also, fits well in the sentence / interfaculty education means that part of the curriculum of study X established (?) at faculty B is provided by faculty C (or something)

service courses / service teaching (for other departments)

Explanation:
The courses described below fall into two categories:
Service courses specially provided for students from other departments
 Departmental courses offered to our own undergraduates that are also suitable for students from other departments.
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/statistics/current/ugserv.pdf

An integral part of the teaching by many statistics departments is the service teaching for other departments. The statistics department of the University of Glasgow has provided statistics instruction for students in the life sciences, chemistry, nursing and others. The largest of the service courses is the class taught to 200-250 first year undergraduate psychology students.
