shaded areas Explanation: I think what is intended here is that these "clouded" areas show the delineation of the system boundries. "Clouded sections" sounds a bit odd so "shaded" or "highlighted" might work. I imagine it to be a kind of bubble within which the parts of the system are schematically represented. This fits in with the Piping and Instrument Diagram context. |
