Dutch term or phrase: bijplaatsen
The below provision is from a deed of transfer of shares - does anyone have a good translation for the word "bijgeplaatst"? I can't think of any.

"De verschenen personen verklaarden dat na de oprichting geen nieuwe aandelen werden uitgegeven en/of bijgeplaatst;"

English translation:to issue additional shares
Explanation:

see JurLex:

aandelen bijplaatsen =
to issue additional shares

thus, something like:

geen nieuwe aandelen werden uitgegeven en/of bijgeplaatst =
no new and/or additional shares had been issued

neutral  philgoddard: But surely "new" and "additional" mean the same thing. Could "uitgeven" and "bijplaatsen" be a tautology in Dutch?

-> you might be right, and that's what I thought initially, but it might be safer to just stick to a more literal translation here.
