Dutch term or phrase: Calavria katoen
Greetings,

I'm almost certain that “Calavria” = Calabria, i.e. a place in Italy, but as this is very important I really need to be 100% sure.

Calabria Cotton

Explanation:
I found this description in an abstract of Fairchild's dictionary of textiles: "Calabrere: A British term for plain weave fabric produced in Calabria, Italy, with Calabria Cotton."

So you're probably right.
