No, it's not a position paper. The journal uses at the end of quite short articles. Yes, it is a sort of a summary, but more what Barend suggests at 23.41 yesterday, which is kind of like the English phrase I originally found in the BMJ and included in the question. But as this is quite wordy compared to the Dutch, I wondered what else might do. However, I am fairly happy with 'context' anyway.

I think I agree with Barend's first suggestion of 'summary'. Although, technically, this thing is a 'systematic review summary', 'review summary', etc. it won't really do to list the whole name in the text itself. I suppose it would also be a good idea to try to determine what texts like this as a whole are called in English. Is it a systematic review, a knowledge summary, etc.?

Summary of current knowledge.
Review of current knowledge.
Knowledge summary.

There seems to be a parellel with a systematic review since the article is so comprehensive.

I think you could call it a 'summary'.

If you look at its structure and content it is a recapitulation of the points discussed above.

I find this hard to visualise - is it a part of the article, or some kind of summary for quick reference? Is it possible to show us what it says? And if it's the last part of the article, why not call it Conclusion?
