at the upper end of normal/at the high end of normal Explanation: There is a range or readings considered normal and this has not yet reached the point where it would be considered abnormal. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 mins (2017-08-08 09:47:54 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Right ventricular dimensions at the high end of normal... To explain this a bit: If you use the term "slightly enlarged", that means that the dimensions exceed the limit of normal to a slight degree, which is more than your text is saying. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day2 hrs (2017-08-09 11:51:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- @Terry Costin who translated "prehypertension": Your job as a translator is not to make a diagnosis but to translate the text you have been given. The data we have is that this patient's heart size is at the upper end of normal. So we are talking here of a patient whose heart is not technically dilated. There is therefore no reason to suspect any problem with blood pressure, especially if the text does not say there is. So not only does your translation fail to address the text but it is suggesting possible pathology for which you have no support from the data available to you. My experience in the field over quite a few years would indicate that patients with cardiac dimensions at the high end of normal are normal and do not necessarily suffer from prehypertension. So your translation is a misrepresentation. You are going beyond your brief and you are quite possibly seriously wrong. |
