Hello folks, I am translating an article and am kind of stumped by the word aangrijpingspunt in the following sentence:

Een voorbeeld van XXX afhankelijke resistentie is een b.v. verhoogde expressie van het XXX, xxx is dan nog steeds een goed aangrijpingspunt, maar de standaarddosering xxx werkt onvoldoende

Online dictionaries' and Van Dale's point of application, clue etc. do not work here IMHO. I am inclined to: starting point, but wonder if there are any better ideas out there.
