Explanation:
Van Dale defines 'tijdbalk' as 'tijdschaal in de vorm van een balk'. Thus, in my humble opinion, 'timescale' would be a fair translation. On the other hand, I think Deborah's 'chronology' or Martijn's 'time line' would both be appropriate translations.
