When a die file is incorrectly prepared (with unknown line types, for example), the file cannot leverage the automation features in Pandora. CAD Correct allows the Pandora operator to define the outer cut lines so the software can deduce the location and number of 1-up positions. The file can then be saved as a proper CFF2 file. For jobs that are missing a CAD file from the customer, it is now possible to create one using the die-line separation from the 1-up artwork, if it exists. CAD Correct can import an EPS file of the die-line separation, identify the cut lines, step it to create the die layout, and write out a CFF2 file for Pandora. Pandora 2.7, featuring CAD Correct, will be shown for the first time at Graph Expo. http://members.whattheythink.com/allsearch/article.cfm?id=17... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr 38 mins (2004-11-16 11:56:23 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- typo: ane should of course be anD -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr 53 mins (2004-11-16 12:11:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- With exception of the gluepanel there has to be bleeds of 3 mm all over the box. This is to avoid white edges when die-cut. On the gluepanel we allow for max 3 mm to be printed / varnished, as glue does not adhere to printed surface. Normally we show on the die drawing the gluing area which is not supposed to be varnished. Please request drawing from Lone at the Cad-Cam department. http://www.alpap.com/uk/html/origin.html |
