Dutch term or phrase: stroomstoot
uit een dagvaarding:

XY wordt ervan verdacht het slachtoffer YX een (zogenaamde) stroomstoot heeft gegeven en/of [...]

What does this word exactly mean?
Is that a so-called “Chinese burn”?
TIA for all your suggestions.

electrical shock, electro-shock
Explanation:
I'd translate this as as 'electrical shock' or 'electro-shock' (with or without a hyphen, or even compounded to a single word). It should certainly not be translated literally using the term 'current', because, as is the case here, that term is often confused in Dutch with voltage. I wouldn't use terms like 'stun gun' or 'electro-batons' either, unless your source text specifically states how the shock was administered.

stun gun (taser gun)

Explanation:
E.e.a. afhankelijk van waarmee de 'stroomstoot' is toegebracht. Zie ook onderstaande links.

An electroshock weapon is an incapacitant weapon used for subduing a person by administering electric shock aimed at disrupting superficial muscle functions. One type is a conductive energy device (CED), an electroshock gun popularly known by the brand name "Taser", which fires projectiles that administer the shock through a thin, flexible wire. Other electroshock weapons such as stun guns, stun batons, and electroshock belts administer an electric shock by direct contact.

Zoals terecht opgemerkt door Louis verwijst de vertaling hierboven naar het wapen/middel waarmee de stroomstoot is toegebracht. Voor een algemene/neutrale vertaling voor 'stroomstoot' zie Jack's antwoord. Mocht uit de context duidelijk blijken dat het hier gaat om een stroomstoot toegediend door een wapen dan is onderstaande vertaling wellicht bruikbaar :-)
