This relates to part or a component of a Napoleon pocket. Not much help from Google I'm afraid. I'm drawing a blank....

depth of the (slash) pocket
Explanation:
in this case it should be a slash pocket. Het is de insteek van een (in dit geval) steekzak. Omdat er een maat bij staat is het de depth of the pocket. Dat is de enige gebruikelijke maat om te noemen.

Many thanks - as I suspected, the depth of the "Napoleon" pocket in this case.

lined pouch (or lined pocket)

Explanation:
It is a large, lined pocket which is probably more accurately described as a pouch which can usually be found on the front of overalls and can be used to contain tools or specifications or a notebook, etc. The intast can also be smaller (in which case it would be a lined pocket) but in your context with the dimensions given, I feel it is a pouch. The word is akin to tasten (to grope, touch or feel) and the prefix in has the usual meaning of into. So you grope into the intast to get what you need for the job. Unfortunately, I don't find much evidence I can give you on the Internet to support this translation. The dimension 16 cm would refer to the depth of the lined pouch (i.e. the extent to which you can grope inside).

Although its use on the front of overalls is the most common for "intast", the Napoleon pocket is a kind of inside pocket, and a description and illustration of that variety can be found here:

agree  Peter van der Hoek: I ken het woord eigenlijk alleen als "ingewanden" maar alles wijst er op dat het inderdaad de diepte van de zak is.
