Dutch term or phrase: oude spoorwegbedding en Durmedijk
Het komt van een toeristische folder en staat in de tabel bij "bezienswaardigheden". Ik weet wel wat ze elk zijn maar heb geen idee hoe ze te vertalen/omschrijven. Bij Durmedijk dacht ik aan dyke of the Durme river maar die constructie is niet gebruikelijk. Alle hulp is welkom! :)

I think dam beside the river Durme or the river Durme's dam might be more user friendly.

I dont know for certain if the Durme is a river or a canal.

Explanation:
Zelfs als de rails er niet meer liggen wordt er toch track gezegd.
Hoe formeel is de tekst. Train is informeler.
Levee hoor ik meer gebruikt worden waar ik woon.
Dyke minder. Het is ook meteen duidelijk dat het om water gaat . Je hoeft dan niet rivier te gebruiken.

  -> Dank je wel, Tina. Misschien heb je gelijk maar ik vond 'path' iets aantrekkelijks hebben en Sindy (zie kudoz-link) wees me erop dat het heel veel hits heeft, ook op co.uk, dus het wordt wel gebruikt
neutral  writeaway: it's not a railway path. it's the railway beds but the tracks have been removed. they are now used as cycle paths. this all easily findable and not really a difficult (ie pro level) question/a railway path is alongside the railway.

  -> Thank you, Sindy. So now we have 'bed', 'path', 'track', ... :-) To me 'bed' sounds a bit 'technical' in this context, which I associate with following a route.
