io propenderei, visto l'impianto della frase per la seguente soluzione: "Insieme a sua cognata riuscì ad appianare le discordie in merito alla proprietà" (anche se devo dire che la frase di partenza è molto dubbia). Anche la tua soluzione, comunque, mi pare valida.
